I received a letter from AT&T that the contract I have on internet for a computer that is only used to order food from America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend for the needy in my little community. No phone calls can be made in or out on this line. I think it is called a drop line. I called and was renewed for 19.95 (my old rate) on April 26, 2012 for one more year. May bill was 19.95. June was 59.95. Called about rate and was given a 40.00 credit. July bill is 59.95. When I called about it, was told that would be the cost because they did not process the order until May and the 19.95 rate was not available in May. When I asked to have the line disconected I was informed that I would be charged 20.00 a month for breaking the contract. I never was notfied of the change and I certainly would not have renewed at that rate. I am 77 yrs. old. My husband passe away in 2010. My only income is my Social Security Check. Even tho I am low income, I am still trying to help those in need. I can pay the19.95 but not the 59.95. How can they say I have a contract for the large amount when I was never notified.

Thank you for anything you can do.
Have a blessed day.
