I received several calls on my cell number from 408-874-8636 (a Campbell, CA #). When I didn't pick up, the person never left a message. Today I answered and was told by Leo Brown (#SZ11103) that I filled out a loan for a federal grant and I was eligible to receive money. Leo stated the money could be used for school and other things. Because I am a student, I thought for a moment that maybe I had applied for this money. Still while I was speaking to him, I Googled the 1-800 number he gave me (1-800-558-0064). I saw a full screen of complaints of fraud. I informed Leo that I was aware that the call was a scam. I explained that there are several complaints on Google about what he was doing. I firmly told him that he should NEVER call my telephone number again. He very calmly agreed and that ended the call. BE CAREFUL! If you get a call from anyone offering grant money from the government HANG-UP!!!! I doubt in this economy that the government is contacting private citizens to give money to.
