I have been having minor problems with a slow computer and downloaded SpeedyPC from a supposed consumer advice site which said SpeedyPC was the best product on the market. Price $39.94. Had to call a tech rep for SpeedyPC to install it on my computer. Rep installed the program and said I had over 6000 problems and that 60% of my microsoft programs had stopped running. She said it could only be repaired by a Certified Computer Tech. She said I could take my computer to Best Buy or use an online company called "Qresolve" which was cheaper and guaranteed the work. I called them and negotiated a price of $279.99 for 3 computers (all infected) with a one year guarantee on the repair. Computers are working fine now but I later read online complaints against Qresolve and SpeedyPC which claim SpeedyPC downloads are infected with a Trojan virus which shuts down programs. The complaints also say the same line was used on them concerning many programs had stopped running and that they should use Qresolve Techs to repair the problems. Turns out that my bank statement shows Qresolve and SpeedyPC are part of the same company. This type of practice is a scam when they cause a problem and then charge to repair what they caused.

Update: 08/01/2012

On 7/31/12 I received a full refund from Safe Cart. I beleive Qresolve is able to bring up a false window on your computer screen by going to DOS and entering the command eventvw.

Update: 08/07/2012

Qresolve entered this command when they had control of my computer. I have Web Watcher installed on my computer and it records every key stroke made. This is how I discovered the DOS command.

Update: 08/07/2012

The DOS command should be eventvwr.
