We had booked a vacation rental in Napa, CA using Paypal payment to "Sandra Wagner". Planned to check into that place on Friday, Jul 20 at 6pm. The person used another name of "Kara Brewster" on the rental contract and said she will be there to give us the keys. Her phone number is 585-204-0896 and email address is [email protected]. She never showed and didnt return our email/phone calls. When we texted her, she eventually replied saying "This is a scam. Go find another property. I was waiting there with my pregnant wife and 3year old kid in for almost 2hours.
Have reported this to the police of City of Napa and that tracking number is T12000267 (at cityofnapa.org). And also Internet Crime Complaint Center.

I am new to scambook and am greatful it is here, I reverse searched Sandra Wagner's phone number and it brought me right to this page. My family and I were just about to book a vaca to Hawaii , Re: Craislist posting 3094691933 Luxury Kailua Beach Estate for nest year and have been in contact with Sandra Wagner and "Kara Brewster" and have had plenty of dialogue. However I have researched enough to know that this is not the right move for us. We were fortunate enough to not have lost any money to her/them. I am sorry that your family went through this. But i am grateful that we found out before losing out. She sent me a rental agreement and everything with a contact name of,

So i will totally recommend to anyone to research, research, research! I even went to google earth to see the location and it was real. Very disheartening that there are people that do this to those of us who are just looking for a wonderful vacation with our families. -
