I purchased a Walmart money card approximately 9:30 PM on 07/20/2012 for $3 and loaded it for $220. When I tried to activate it on the internet a hour later the web site asked for my address, which I entered. It then showed for addresses three of them ending with 06067-3502. The address here at the Rocky Hill veterans home is 287 West St, Rocky Hill CT 06067-3501, which I chose. It then said my address couldn't be verified. So I called customer service. The representative I talked to said they would send my refund in 12 to 14 days. I suggested he go on the internet to verify the address as it is the state veterans home and easily accessed. He refused to do so. I bought that card to buy a ticket to a 70's concert at the Mohegan Sun Casino. I am a 65 year old veteran of the Viet Nam war. This may be the last time in my life that I will have the chance to see these performers, due to their or my death. This may seem like an unimportant matter to some, but it is very, very troubling to me and anyone of my array. I think it is very unfear of Walmart not to be willing to simply look up the address. Please let me if I have any alternatives.
