Note:- At the bottom of this page, there is a copy taken from the actual conversation conman Hoodless and I had at facebook regarding me buying his non-existant phone.

Mark Anthony Hoodless tried to scam me yesterday by asking for a £50 deposit for a non-existent Apple iphone 4S he said he had, brand-new and in it`s unopened box.

I had posted a `Wanted` advert in the on-line Gumtree site and he was one of the calls I received.

He speaks in a very posh, public schoolboy-type voice and is extremely convincing.

I asked him how he wanted paid and he replied it would be best paid direct into his bank account, which he then supplied me with the details.

Just to be safe, I asked him if he was on facebook and he replied yes and gave me his name there. I immediately clicked on to it and up came this conman`s shifty-looking face along with his equally shifty-looking girlfriend`s.

He asked to be a friend and I accepted immediately and by him doing so, I was even more convinced his intentions were blue-chip and above-board. As you can read below, only when I started to push him for his FULL home address, did he become hesitant and I immediately smelled a rat.

I was on Google Street View at the very same time I was talking to him via chat at facebook and I told him I was in his street and all the houses had numbers showing as he had tried to say his didn`t have a number...after pushing him some more for his door number, he still refused to give it and told me I could trust him without it or he`d sell the phone elsewhere.

I immediately typed his home phone number into google and up came the pages here at scambook with a list of complaints from various victims of Hoodless`. I copied the full page of complaints and posted it on Hoodless` facebook page to let the scumbag know I`d sussed he was a habitual scam merchant.

After reading only a few lines of the scam report on him, he panicked in case one of his friends at facebook got the chance to read it and he deleted it without reading it all. He then asked me what I had just posted at his page and wanted to know what all the report had said about him, but I refused to do so...if he wants to read it, let him come to scambook and read it.

By the looks of some of the comments left in defense of Hoodless, making out this is a conspiracy by some of the public against him, in order to blacken his good name, I`d say Hoodless posted them himself trying to clear his name - no chance, people reading about him here will be left in no doubt what he`s about - pure scum.

I will now be sending the police officer dealing with all the complaints against Hoodless at Nottingham, a full copy of our dealings. This can be used in court to help show `intent` on his part to defraud as he has done with many others.

yeah, swallow are all new houses you see so i dont even know if you can view it properly, but with all do respect sir, its 40 pounds we agreed on, you can see via my facebook that i am genuine, i even rang you from my house phone. If i was a scammer, i would not go to this trouble for 40 pounds and also if say i do scam you its not like you are going to travel to england to reclaim your money. so you have to either have trust or not, but either way it makes no odds to me as i will sell the phone.
