I have no clue if this is actually going to help anything, but I am desperate at this point. I found GlobalVisas.com while looking for information on immigration. I recently married a Canadian citizen, (me being American) and having never had to deal with immigration stuff before, I had no clue where to look or what to do.

I thought there was no harm in filling out their 'free evaluation', so Is tarted to, however about halfway through the process, I stopped for some reason or another. I forgot about it, and never submitted my 'evaluation'. not even an hour later I got a phone call from these people, and not thinking anything of it I agreed to have my situation evaluated. After all of maybe 10 minutes on the phone they told me I was eligible for immigration under a spousal sponsorship (Well no duh.)

They then explained their 'consultation' fees would cost 2500 USD (I think a total of 2,625 CAD, I don't remember exactly, I just remember how much was removed from my own bank account, in USD)

Excited at the fact that I could live with my husband finally (We'd been only able to see each other on and off every 5-6 months for five years) I agreed. They originally took 1,000 USD, then a month later 500 USD then a month later another 500 USD, and then one month after that the final 500 USD. Then they started doing 'work'

They sent me information 'packets' which I alter found out are available for free on the canadian immigration website. The information they gave me through their 'expert consultation services' were scattered, unorganized, and poorly outlined what I would need.

I was working with one lady, then apparently she quit the company and they assigned me a new 'case worker'. This man barely had any contact with me. I emailed him repeatedly for 3 weeks straight, and he didn't respond to a single email until I requested a refund.

Suddenly my 'case worker' had changed again, to another man, who I never spoke to, who also did not return emails until I threatened to find a lawyer. This whole process has taken over a year, and by the time I found out it was a scam it was too late for my bank to do anything about the charges.

Currently I am struggling to get a refund from them still, but to no avail. There are many many many others like me, but these people have been deleting / making lies up about all these people complaints.

I may not get my money, or the personal documents they have back, but I at least want to warn people away from this site. :(

If any further information is needed, or anyone has questions, I'd be happy to help.
