I lease a space in a hair salon I wrote the owner a check for my rent. She contacts me telling me my check isnt going to clear. I asked her why she thinks that. She said her bank" Compass Bank" told her that my check might not clear. That she had a choice to deposit or not. T'he funds are in my account as we speak, they have been there since I wrote the check. I have nothing pending! Now my boss asked me to pay cash from now on! Can they do that ! I called Compass bank and asked them why they did that . They told me they recieved notification, I asked why, they couldn't tell me.
