This is the second attempt these individuals have tried to scam me. I just found this site here as I was attempting to locate the appropriate routing number and accurate location for the bank and business listed on the check. It first started in January 2012. They sent me a letter, with a $1925.00 check, stating I'd won $100,000.00. (Financial Gaming Services 5725 Westbury Montreal, QC, H3W 3E6. Phone: 1-514-562-9869
CL.. FCS1316-02MIL). I deposited the check and was told to contact a Peter Lucas once deposited. Once completed, Peter suddenly was 'out' and I spoke to someone else. A day later, I received notification from the bank that the check deposited was 'suspicious' and I was charged $5.00 against my account! I told the 'Manager' this and he hung up on me. Now, today, I receive another letter, address: 3040 Rosemont, Montreal, QC. Phone: 1-514-559-6429. Claim #CS1203-01MIL. This one states that I've won $80,000.00 and the check issued is 2250.00 from The First National Bank of Central Texas. It was stated for me, again, to not cash unless I spoke with a John Carter (Clearing Commissioner) ... who, ironically, was the person who hung up on me the first time around. If any documentation is needed, I will definitely provide it. Luckily, I only was charged $5.00. What about the next person? Something needs to be done!! Thank you! M. Willoughby, Springfield, Mass.
