I was searching for a personal loan last wednesday 11th July and was taken to various websites where I had to put in my bank account details. This is something I have never done before and was very reluctant to do so. I never got a loan in the end but the day after was horrified to find that a company called "Greenleaf" had taken £49.99 out of my account for 'services' ie; searching for a loan. As far as I was aware I had not asked them for their services and certainly not authorised them to take money from my account! Since then I have tried to 'phone them but could only leave messages and have been advised by my bank (RBS) to contact Trading Standards to see if there was anything I could do to get my money back. I will let you know how I get on.
