Most of you probably already know this but several men and probably women too claim to be someone they are not on Zoosk and other dating sites. They are using false names, pictures, and elaborate stories to scam us and take us for our hard-earned money. Beware of profiles of 30's to 50's men who claim to be widowed. Beware of profiles of men who chat with you and tell you they are working out of the country. Beware of profiles of men who tell you they live in another city than what is listed on their profile. Beware of those who move way too quickly and are in love with you after a message or two and are talking about relocating to where you live. Beware of those who try to gain sympathy from you for their children. Beware of those who you can tell have broken English in their messages to you (don't excuse them as just being unlearned). These are just a few tactics they use early on to reel you in for the elaborate stories they will tell you. They include needing medical attention for themselves or family members, needing flights to foreign countries to resolve family inheritances, and so on. They prey on the fact that most of us who view dating sites are lonely and desperate to find someone to love and be loved by. Shame on them and may God give them what they rightfully have earned. Please beware and don't let your heart override your better judgement.
