International boundaries

We have gone to a presentation by a representative of Global Connections (or Global Discovery). We are not time share kind of people and we debated between ourselves if we should or should not join. We decided at the end that it might be beneficial for us, and will give us a reason to go on vacations. I am so embarrassed to say that we fell for it. When we finally did try to use our membership we found out that unless we want to spend our vacation in WI, almost any time of the year is pick time and rather than pay the promised $159, which is a great price, we will have to add $275 if it is during peak season, not to mention the annual $395 membership fee. It seems that any time is a peak season time. Or at least 8 months of the year. We usually travel cheaply, we do not spend over $800 on accommodations. We would have loved to be able to cancel our membership all together, but that means we have lost our $3,100.00.
