Complaint 133588 Details

1. We came to Lowe's to purchase PERGO Laminate flooring. We were switched to a different manufacturer and unaware the product sold to us was not PERGO. We would not have made this Purchase from Lowe's had we been advised of the switch from PERGO laminate to some other company.
2. Lowe's did not advise us that the product we considered to be PERGO would require installing a humidifier and substantially increasing our home's humidity resulting in a doubling or quadrupling of the moisture content in our home. We would not have made this Purchase from Lowe's had we been advised the integrity of the erroneously delivered flooring required such a drastic increase in humidity.
3. Lowe's made a number of phone calls over a period of several days before they determined the product they delivered to us was not the PERGO laminate we purchased.
4. In Conclusion,
a) Lowe's failure to advise us of this lack of product integrity and it's requirement to install a green house humidity environment.
b)The switch by Lowe's to some other product from the PERGO laminate we asked for. We expect Lowe's to reimburse us for our expenditure and Lowe's should remove the unstable product from our home.
