International boundaries

This company solicited me through the internet because my resume was posted online. They are a freight forwarding company that promises a base salary plus commission on each box forwarded. They have a website, and provide legal looking agreement forms. They send you prepaid labels and request weekly and monthly reports. Everything looks legitimate if you don't look close enough. Unfortunately, I did not. They are sending items purchase with stolen identity to the Russian Federation. I contacted the Postal Inspector and verified that this is a scam. If they deposit a compensation check in your bank account, it means big trouble. Fortunately, I'm not out big money, but it could definitely happen. I caught it early. I don't know if these scam artists can be prosecuted, as it appears they are originating this scam from outside the country in Russia. I am working with the USPS Inspector General and local authorities to see if anything can be done to bring these criminals to justice. So far, it's not looking good. Please beware, that if it's too good to be true, then it DEFINITELY is !!!

  • OMG! Currently I am "working" for this company. For the past 3 1/2 weeks I have been sending packages to addresses in Russia and Moscow. My probationary period is suppose to end this week I was told I would receive payment. I do not want to be penalized for this scam, what should I do?

  • licia86 - the first thing to do is make sure you do NOT have any payments deposited into your bank account. Second, contact the Postal Inspector and file a complaint. Third, make sure you monitor your credit and notify the credit bureaus of a possible problem. If you want to contact me directly (Personal Information Removed) Maybe together we can do something to stop this scam.

  • licia86 - One more thing. I am currently awaiting my first payment from this company, which I don't expect to receive,but if something does show up, I'll let you know what it is and how it came, along with the method of payment.

  • First, thank you so much for responding to my post. Thank you for confirming my suspicions that this is indeed a scam. I received one package today and one is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Should i take them both to the post office and explain what is going on? (Personal Information Removed) please contact me at your earliest convenience. Also, I emailed Alison Winestead, who is the person I have been in contact with throughout this process, and informed her that I know this is a scam, to remove my name from their database, and to not deposit any money in my acct or send me any packages.   • licia86 - I will send you an email at your personal email address when I return to my office later this afternoon. Alison Winestead is the same person that I have been dealing with. I will chat with you when I get back. Don't worry together we can protect ourselves and prevent anything bad from happening. It is very disappointing though. Like me, I'm sure you could've used the income.

  • Yemaya - Sure, I would be glad to, but I haven't heard anything since the beginning of July. I think they know that I'm on to their scam, and won't reply to my emails. I don't expect to hear from them again, but if I do I will let you know.

  • Raulh1 - The whole thing is a scam ! No one ever gets paid ! We are trying to catch these thieves who steal people's identity, purchase products, and then ship them out of the country. Mostly to the Russian Federation. If you can try to find out where she is physically located. Hopefully, it's not out of the country because if it is, then we won't be able to prosecute them.   • I have been sending packages for this people too, my contact name who hired me is Jorge Rodrigues. I should have known this is a scam! I have 5 boxes in my house right now, what do I need to do with these boxes?

  • I got into this trouble too. I've been sending packages for 2 weeks and now I decided to make some investigation about this company. I've already reported a complaint to the FBI and really hope they will do something about it.
    I also have 2 boxes in my house, don't know what to do with them.
    Is there anything else I can do to prevent this crime?
