My husband wired a total of $6700.00 to Keith Middlebrook to pay for the 4 day rental of a "post-prom" house in East Quogue, NY that Mr. Middlebrook had advertised for rent on the internet.
When my daughter went to the house on June 7th, as per her phone discussions with Mr. Middlebrook, she found out that the home was already rented to another party and she was denied access to the house. Calls to Mr. Middlebrook were not returned until the past few days. Although he has made 4 promises to return the money we haven't received one dime. This has caused great distress to my daughter and to my husband and me. He calls my husband several times a day at work, promising that he will send the money..
I don't care what "Rob" says in his defense to "Mike,"...there is no defense to what he has done to my daughter and my family.

I wish to apologize to Mr. Middlebrook for filing my complaint as the matter was very amicably resolved and he was professional and pleasant. (I was probably being too impatient).

To further clarify, Mr. Middlebrook was not at fault. I would like to delete the complaint but this site does not let you delete complaints. So please note he was not at fault and I tried to delete the complaint.

I DID NOT WRITE THE “APOLOGY” ABOVE!!! HE ONLY RESPONDED, AFTER 11 PHONE CALLS, WHEN HE LEARNED I HAD REPORTED HIS SCAM .
