I was contacted by phone to say that they were getting a signal from my computer that it had lots of errors. So I was told to click on to several locations on my computer to see the errors and there was quite a few several hundred. But before this happened every time I went online a pop-up of there company always appeared saying my computer was compremized and that they could scan it for potential threats, which I ignored. Eventually I had it scanned and it came up saying there was 300 and something errors and that they could only fix a few but I could purchase a software to fix all and download this, again I ignored it. This went on for a month or so with the pop-ups. That is when I get the phone call and I agreed to let them fix my computer as I could not get rid of the pop-ups.I gave my password and I could see what he was doing by remote with the cursor while I stayed on the phone, from the accent I could tell he was Indian. I believe his name was David. He said the service was 400 AUD and I said I didn't have that amount so he asked if I pay $191 AUD and I agreed and gave my bank account details and that they would debit the rest on my following pay week. So far no other monies have been taken or letter sent I owe money. I was sent via email my account details but have since deleted these. I can see that the security software that I had installed recently by Dell is no longer there as well which was McAfee. I do have the icons that he installed on my desktop but nothing else. It is in my opinion that they some how put a virus in my computer only to get money as my security system that Dell installed always said my computer was safe. Since I'm not that computer literate I fell for this sales pitch. I'm not 100% of the date this took place but it was between the 1st and the 4th of June. Can you help me?
