Dish Network has repeatedly scammed us on our account! We have been customers with them for several years. Early 2011 we contacted Dish to let them know we are moving to a competitor due to their attractive offer. Dish indicated that they would match (and beat) the competitor's pricing ($45.00) for at least ONE year with no price increase in order to keep us with them.
We agreed (BIG mistake)!
Our bill was $48.00 ($45.00 + taxes) for ONE month only.
After that the bill started increasing in $5.00 increments until it reached $63.00!!!!!! (higher than we were paying at the time we were promised a lower bill - according to our contract prior to the price reduction we were to only pay $52.00)!!!!
Made MANY MANY calls to Dish...every time we were told that they would fix the issue, it would be fixed for one month and then would jump back up (and each time MUCH higher than the original higher price).
Finally we spoke with someone (JOSHUA) in Executive Resolution department who ASSURED us that we would not be paying more than $48.00 (inclusive of tax) until the end of March 2013. Having been scammed so many times by Dish, we were apprehensive and wanted to cancel our account, but Joshua ASSURED us that due to the fact of the department he works in this mistake would not happen again, and gave us his direct number to call with anything in the future.
The following month our Bill was $68.00!!!!!
Tried calling Joshua and left many many many messages. All went unanswered.
Finally reached someone else in the EXECUTIVE RESOLUTION department that assured us that Joshua will get the message and will call us back, however in the mean time she told us that the bill that we receive at home (and see online) for $68.00 is BEFORE the credits kick in and that it eventually comes down to the price we are supposed to pay.
Explaining to her how fraudulent it is to MAIL A BILL to someone's house and ask for a certain amount is unethical and that we are fed up with all these lies and scams. She couldn't care less.
Now each month we get the same bill ($68.00) and each month additional amounts are added to our bill (that is supposed to be $48.00). My wife and I ONLY pay the amount we were assured we should be paying. We are FED UP and want EVERYONE to know how horrible this company is. They lie and make fraudulent claims on customers in order to blind them into paying amounts that are inaccurate for their companies benefit!
