This took place on a Tuesday evening, 7:00-7:30p. A very confident and somewhat personal (in conversation) young man 17yrs. old going by the name Stephen Goley knocked at my door selling magazines. Supposably to earn his way to an out of state university. I really wasn't interested. Yet very quick & smooth he made his way inside and sitting at the kitchen table. Skeptical & honestly right after the holidays didn't want to spend or really even have the money to spend. But persistent was he & sharing his home life "story" & the troubles that he had overcome. I personally could relate with as well as presently at the time dealing with my son only a couple years younger. He gave my son encouraging & was a likable young kid. So I ordered a 4-wheeler magazine for my husband as a B-Day present. I was going to pay by credit card because I didn't have exact amount in cash. Of coarse he tells me how cash is an easier process for not only him but myself as well. Living next door to a liquor store he offers to run over and get change for my $100 bill. He returns with money & I pay him $65 for my order, which 6 months later have never received. I've called phone # provided on receipt (717-755-3480), a disconnected #. Next I googled company & address which led me very quickly right to here. I mean this kid went as way out as to speak of his competition & leave a note on my door that he had been here so not to even bother knocking. Should have stuck with 1st instinct. I always think those door sales are scams & of coarse the one I buy into is. WHAT COMES AROUND, GOES AROUND!
