On June 6, 2012 I placed an order with AJRichies, whom I choose since they advertized the lowest price for the camera and lens I wanted, for the following:
1. A Canon Rebel T2i camera with a Canon 18-135mm zoom lens;
2. A high performance rechargeable LC-E8 battery;
3. A battery charger for the above;
4. A 16 GB high speed flash card;
5. A 67mm UV filter for the 18-135mm lens;
6. A lens hood for the 18-135mm lens
I was informed that the cost of the order would be $919.00. I paid with my MasterCard and $919.99 was immediately applied to my account. I was informed that the order would be shipped within 2 business days.
Having received no reply or confirmation by the end of the week I requested by both email and telephone to be informed about the status of my order and I requested an itemized invoice. I received no reply.
Finally I on June 13th I received an email indicating that my order had been shipped and on June 15th I received a package containing my order but not the lens hood. The package contained an invoice that did not include the lens hood and did not include the price of each item. I returned the battery and battery charger by USPS priority mail on June 17th requesting a refund for those items. Again I have to date received no reply from AJRichies.
I checked online for the prices
I searched online to see if other customers of AJRichies had experienced similar problems with AJRichies and found that many had and that complaints had been filed. Several customers mentioned that AJRichies advertized very low prices and then vastly overcharged for accessories. Most customers complained that orders were not shipped on time (sometimes delayed for weeks) and that once an order was placed AJRichies was difficult if not impossible to contact.
I regret that I had not searched for reviews of AJRichies before placing my order and regret that I relied on the four star rating that was mentioned online.
