I signed up or paid via my credit card for one month special at $5 USD which entitled me to a premium membership. Written into the second page of the contract is the details regarding automatic renewal after one month. As this service was not what I wanted I emailed to cancel and clarify, within days following. Apparently you cannot cancel until after 14 days when the credit card is initiated. I then tried again to cancel and twenty times following, only to discover that it is impossible to actually cancel, online with their system. When I discovered that my credit card although no communication had been received for several weeks, with next amount of 234 USD to extend my premium membership. I immediately made contact with my bank and initiated a dispute, which is currently pending with the bank. Despite the bank reversing this payment and requesting verification from this institution, they have continued to harass me for a reversal payment, stating that my credit rating will be affected and that their collection process has been initiated. They state that members can cancel online, but this is impossible and next choice is to send a signed statement to their overseas address or a fax to the same. Complaints on the net from others state that this is their process and verify that it is impossible to cancel your account at all on their site. Emails stating your desire simply return with details of their contract. At no stage during the correspondence of the past six months has there ever been mention of service or offering the customer any encouragement to continue with them. Their service officers are many as they must spend every day sending terms and conditions to clients who are equally unhappy. The bank have made a reversal and now this dispute is still under investigation, this company continues to threaten collection process.
I have stated I do not want anything to do with them yet they persist. The bank will be informed of their behaviour. Help of any sort is most definitely not available from their 'support' on homepage. It simply comes back to the same screen again and again. These bullies need to be stopped.
