I have been on my son's Family Plan with Sprint for over one year. I have used the phone regularly and constantly. I loved it, until 6/2012. My daughter-in-law sent a text and said that Sprint was complaining about too much data usage, and that whatever I was doing, I could not do anymore.

Well, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but had not done it for some time. I streamed a NetFlix movie here and there; someone told me about Torrents, I tried that but did not like the slowing of my computer so stopped that, etc. However, these were back in March and April, from what I am learning. I was afraid to breath after receiving text from family, I did not want to be responsible for getting the phones shut off.

Well, I also submit all of my work reporting online, and had been doing this for the past year. I decided that it was not the cause of the problem or something would have been said long ago and Sprint would be lying about "Unlimited Data."

Received letter on 6/10/12 stating that they had warned about account, that the account had been watched to see if data usage would subside, and that since it had apparently not subsided, my number was to be terminated. I have not used my phone for anything but my job and playing a little puzzle game here and there. I have not had time and am too tired from working. Associate at Sprint said that my usage was down to under 3GB which is average from what I gather. She mentioned that her husband has downloaded a torrent here and there.

I spent hours online and on the phone trying to find out exactly what the problem was. I got everything from my phone bouncing off of another provider's tower, despite beng i a Sprint "best" zone, to web hosting. Well, one I could not control, and the other I absolutely did not do. Then the Torrent word was mentioned. It's important to note that all of the associates I spoke with on Sunday were unable to help me further. I needed to contact the number at the bottom of the letters that I had just received from Sprint, Mon - Fri, 7 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. The associates were so nice, and wanted to help. One lady even called me back approximaltey 4 times to see if my problem had resolved. She was very nice.

Bright and early Monday morning, 6/11/12 after having been on hold for approximatley 8 minutes and then 18 minutes, and throughout the time that she was updating the account... they are terminating my number but want to put me on hold to update the account????

I was told that once a termination letter goes out, it cannot be recalled. I said if you had just told me what I was not supposed to do, I would not have done it. I don't understand everything that listed in their letter, but I know I wasn't doing any of them, at least not intentionally.

I was told that I could not open a Sprint account for 6 - 9 months, that when my phone was terminated, I could call them and they would turn it on for a week, or seven days to allow me to transfer number to another provider. The letter was not this generous.

Now, I am sitting here with a $200 phone I cannot use as the providers I have spoken with indicate my phone, an android, is not compatible with their service and I will need to purchase another one. I do not know how much work, if any will be lost or the inconveniences I may suffer due to this abrupt action, I do not know how much it will cost me to get online with "unlimited data" so that I may continue earning a living and paying for my apartment, but I am sure it will not be $0.

I am so upset. My son added me as a favor so that I could submit my work and get paid. I have been doing this nearly daily for over the past year. It's like having a rug pulled out from underneath with a plethera of crocodiles just waiting for you to fall in.

I could lose my job because at any moment they could yank my line and leave me sitting here unable to see my work and/or report the results. Internet is one of the requirements of the job.

Unlimited,

1. Having no restrictions or controls: an unlimited travel ticket.
2. Having or seeming to have no boundaries; infinite: an unlimited horizon.
3. Without qualification or exception; absolute: unlimited self-confidence.

Sprint now attempts to limit and have refused any discussion. The phone will be terminated at any moment. I am going to suffer loss, emotional distress because I do not know how I will file my reports or see my work without internet.

I have been struggling to get on my feet to earn money to pay my rent, etc. I do not even have a car right now, let alone time or money to go out and replace the phone and services that I have enjoyed for the past year, and for which are paid in full and up to date by my son.

I want to sue them in a Class Action Suit, or, if no one is interested, I will take the lying and deceptive giant on by myself. This is more than just one of those things!

Even now, I just looked up their slogan and it states "The Only Network With Truly Unlimited Data." a bald-faced lie.
