I received a phone call saying that my computer was infected and about to crash and they were a representative of Microsoft, and had been contracted to remedy these problems and would do it for a year for $179 The name of company they gave me was Advance PC.com buy my card statement says Mercaway.com phone # given was 646-843-6254 or contact ADVANCEPCCA RE COM. My computer was running slow and they walked me thru showing how many errors there were and would install progam to take care of all these problems for a year. I was not feeling well that night and fell of the scam.

I think I may I had the same problem. An Asian guy kept phoning me up and telling me my computer was not working fast enough and he would tell me by every stage what to do. Well , I couldn't keep up and not understanding too well I gave up and told him so. And he kept phoning me up to 8 times but the last call I said I got no computer and politely put the phone down.
