Responded to an ad purportedly from a local company for a Part Time "Computer Technician/Pc Support" position "Reporting to the Lead Computer Technician for the DEXTECH IT...". Subsequent emails solicited a firm price for repairing 7 laptop computers, then detailed payment arrangements, which involved prepayment to me and subsequent wire transfer to a designated "shippping agent". These ads appear in craigslist and other job seeker sites all over the country (Google "DEXTECH IT"). Of course it's a scam: it involves counterfeit USPS Money Orders, which can easily be determined to be fraudulent by calling the nearest Postal Inspector. The perpetrator is most likely a convicted felon in Houston, TX, who may have just completed a 235-month sentence for cocaine distribution and attempted murder. Beware!!
