Did the same as so many. Got a call from this fraudulent company and was offered an add in the yellow book. I told them I was not interested in placing an add and they offered to list my business for free as a single line in the yellow pages. I said that was fine but I was not going to pay for any advertising. I do not remember the date that this conversation took place. The person on the other end seemed polite, professional, and legit.

In March I got a phone call from this company about my bill for the advertisement.
I told them I was not going to pay anything for an add I had not placed. I was then transferred to some woman who asked a bunch of questions and then had me answer a series of questions with either "Yes" or "No". I did not answer all the answers with yes or no and added my own comments to what I figured was a phone call being recorded. I then heard nothing further from them. On June 7th I received a bill from this company for the amount of $599.00 and then three months worth of interest for $27.40. Seems this is the same amount everyone was getting billed.

The mailing address seems very legit as well. I have not checked the address to see if it matches the "Chrysler Building" or not and I really do not care.

I pulled out my new phone directory that had just come and guess what? I did not have any advertising in the book at all! No little free listing, nor any other ad to tell people what I do and where they can reach my company! Do not pay these con artists, they are not going to turn you in to collections or ruin your credit rating!

If they do anything we can all gang up on them in court. Just bring your yellow pages and show the judge your ad that is not there!
