On 6-1-2012, i was called by a company called "Advance America" and they said i was approved for a loan in the amount of $2000. They all my info including name,address,phone number, bank info and social security number. They wanted me to put the first payment of $200 on a green dot card, so i did. Within an hour and a half of doing so, they stopped answering and i heard that they were a majic jack customer, so i called green dot immediately and tried to file a claim or complaint. It took me sitting on hold with them three hours when i finally talked to someone, they took my claim and said someone from fraud dept. would call me back because they said someone activated the card in another name even though i have the original card and receipt. No one called,so i called them and they said case was closed because they couldn't retrieve the money. They obviously didn't try because they didn't call me when they said they were going too and didn't do an investigation like they said they would. If they did, they would see i have the card and receipt and tried to call them within an hour and a half of buying the card. I did get them to admit they handle everything out of there call center in the phillipines. Even the fraud claims. For all i know, someone from their company stole my money. After getting annoyed at the fact that they did nothing to help me and they were in the phillipines doing nothing, i asked to speak to someone in the United States at there main or head office and they said they set the call back for within 48 hours, but of course, nothing! I am a single disabled father of one and am on low income as it is. This really hurt me financially and am now late on my rent and other bills. I have now complained about Green dot and Advance America to the Better Business Bureau and your company. Hopefully someone can help me. Its not like they can't afford to pay me back, thank you for listening and helping, i appreciate it a bunch.
