As I normally do, I woke up in the morning and checked the activity on my checking account as I have fallen victim to identity theft in the past. I was shocked to discover that this place "My Moneytoolbox" took $29.95 out of my account unauthorized. I called my bank immediately and froze my account and got the number to call My Money toolbox. A young woman answered my call and stated that I had filled out for a payday loan (which I hadnt ) and that I had not unchecked the box authorizing them to take the funds out of my account and that they had sent me an email stating that they were doing so and if I didn't wish for them to I had to respond within 3 days. I demanded a refund and was told that they can not do refunds BUT a $31 mastercard had been sent out to me and I should receive it within the next few days. I hung up with her fuming. I called back again on the 29th and spoke to another young woman named katie. She informed me that she would just refund my money and that the mastercards they had sent out wouldnt work properly so they sent out more and i should receive one by the end of the week. I asked why I was told that I could not have a refund on my first call but now I can. She said that they always give refunds. I told her that my account was closed so she couldnt refund the money to it. She said "well the bank will just send it to your new account if you just give me the routing number"...ummm Hello? Am I stupid here? So I hung up with her also more upset then the first time I called. Finally, I called again yesterday and immediately asked for a supervisor. The gentleman asked why and I explained to him why. He looked into my "account" and said that I had refused the mastercard and that he couldnt do a refund to my account. I demanded the supervisor. 10 minutes later the supervisor gets on the phone. I am told that they can not refund my money as a refund was already put in on the 29th and that it takes 7 to 10 business days to go through. And that I would not be recieving the mastercard as I got a refund. Ok, back up just a minute. I specifically told Katie that my account was closed so why on gods green earth would you refund money to a closed account?? I asked the supervisor as much. She said that I failed to inform Katie that my account was closed, that it was in my file. I asked her to read what they had put in my file. She changed the subject. She repeated that same rehearsed lines again. The money has been refunded and takes 7 to 10 business days. I demanded my money plus the fees that apply as they casued my account to become overdrawn. She said she would have to check with corporate office. I asked for the corporate office name and number. She told me she was unable to give out that information. By this time I am supremely pissed and have had enough. I admit that I flew off the handle. I kept demanding my money and the corporate office. After 10 minutes of this she said I cant give you the corporate office number becasue there isn't one. WHAT???!!! I proceeded to tell her that they had been reported to the FBI, local law enforcement and the GA attorney general. She changed her story back to not being able to give me the corporate office number and that my refund had been sent to my closed account and there was nothing else she could do. So I said "answer me this...is it true that the supposed mastercard you sent out didnt work? is it true that all your employees lie like you?" Now remember I was told twice that the mastercard was sent out to me but the third time I was told that I had rejected the card...she said that the card had been mailed out to me but returned...then she said that I wouldnt recieve a mastercard because i had declinded it....So which is it? She then hung up on me. So I contacted my bank and they have nothing pending to go into my account...So I am back to square one with these people. Any ideas????
