I responded to an ad on horsetopia.com on a Friesian horse for sale, I recieved a response from Lauren Burnett saying she has a Friesan gelding in which she is looking to find a good, loving home for him and is not charging an adoption fee for him only 850.00 shipping, she made it sound so sincere, she said she is finding him a new home because she was in a car accident and suffered a spinal cord injury and is in a wheelchair and can no longer ride. Well I kinda thought this was to good to be true considering a Friesian is worth 10,000 or more. I searched the name Lauren Burnett online and found only a celebrity with that name. She finally sent an email asking for the 850.00 to be sent via money gram to Tamara Harris in Richmond, VA. Sounded funny to me with the name changing so I googled Tamara Harris and found all these scam reports! Needless to say I will not be sending her anything! I did however send her a picture of the page where all the complaints are listed and what do you know, she hasnt responded! I also went back to horsetopia and found that she has numerous listings of this same horse in different states.
