My immediate reply was STOP, which netted me this message back:
Brain Cool IQ: You are not subscribed to any services on 94408. For more info go to www.braincooliq.com 3msg/wk for $9.99/mo. Msg&Data Rates May Apply
Then out of the blue a few weeks later a new message is received.

Welcome to Brain Cool! For HELP call 18888906150 $9.99/mo for 3msg/wk. Reply HELP for help Reply STOP to cancel Msg&Data Rates May Apply
Of course my immediate reply was STOP, which netted me no response at all. I called my carrier, Sprint, and immediately restricted the premium short message codes and had them notate any short message code charges as being unauthorized and fraudulent. Sure enough, there was the $9.99 charge on my next bill. Called into my carrier and had it credited back.
I don't know what's going on here but no one has access to my phone and I'm certainly not falling for these idiotic short message code scams. Shaboom Media LLC is defrauding Sprint and its customers.
