In August of 2009 I went in for the Essure procedure recovered in about 3 weeks and felt like one of my coils was falling out so i rushed back to dr. caputo had an exam and an x-ray and was told it was just an ovarian cyst and that the coils were fine, i called the doctors office the next day to schedule an appointment to do the follow up test for essure and was informed over the phone that i was no longer a patient and when i asked if they could refer me someone to do the follow up confirmation test they told me to contact my insurance provider. In January of 2012 I became pregnant with my third son whom i delivered in october after having my son two weeks early i went back a month later to do another tubal and a microscopic surgery to try to have the coils removed where my doctor discovered that one of the coils went straight through my ovary and is embedded ontop of my ovary which is how i got pregnant had we had done the confirmation test we would have found this out sooner. so i now have two coils and the tubal clamps in me and dr. caputo is now doing essure exclusively which makes me furious how this man has a license i dont know. just for tidbit with the amount my family makes, cost of living, plus expenses is how i got the amount for monetary damages, it is the actual amount for raising a child including public college.
