Got a call from someone describing himself as alex from software maintenance, from (210) 249-1595 . Got me to go to the microsoft windows eventviewer indicating yellow errors and red warnings, and indicated that I should go to www.support.me, where apparently after entering a code which he gave me, a remote access software was installed. The caller stated that the computer had malware, and demanded that payment be made for correction, at the site www.onlinewebheal.com. Anti-malware software was installed remotely and was run, but in the background, the tech was downloading personal information from my computer, particularly, credit card information and photographs.
