I ordered a Panasonic waterproof camera on the In stock digital website for my boyfriend's birthday in august. The camera was priced at $245.00, which appeared to be the best deal available on-line and in stores. However, I received an e-mail several days after the purchase requesting I call the company's main number before my order could be processed. I was given the store's, main (and only) phone number with a salemans extention attached. I called that day and was shortly connected to the salesman's. He proceeded to tell me that they just needed to confirm my mailing address. I confirmed the address, which was quickly followed by the salesman's inquiry as to whom the camera was for. He told me that the camera did not come with a memory card and he would not be able to use it upon receival. Naturally I wanted my gift to be complete so I asked what cards were available. With that the salesman began rambling off various memory cards with different prices and stated he would "throw in" an extended battery charger with camera case/tripod. When all was said and done my total came out to be $499.00. I was shocked at the price but thought I was getting a superior memory and charger. Unfortunately, when I received the camera, the memory card was not what I had thought I was purchasing but merely a 4G (which I could have purchased on Amazon for $2.00). As for the so- called "extended battery" it was already included with the camera along with the tripod. So for an additional $254.00 I received an inferior memory card and camera case.
I tried to call IN STOCK immediately upon receiving the pakage but they were already closed and since the package was delivered on Friday I had to wait until Monday to call for my return authorization number (they are closed on the weekends). After several unsuccessful phone call attempts and remaining on hold for 40 minutes at a time I am completely disgusted with this company and their scam tactics. I thought I was doing something nice for my boyfriend and it just turned out to be an expensive disaster.
