Was doing Online search for DSLR camera ( canon EOS 60D with 18-200mm lens).
This site had the best deal. Was hesitant initially but after reviewing online store reviews inlcuding at youtube video, i gave in. Before giving them the amazon gift card details, i asked why they wanted payment in this form and response i had was that they are new startup and and working on other payment methods soon.
Soon after payment, i recieved a shipping confirmation e-mail but the item never arrived. Website is shutdown.
Their address is listed as

but website seems to be operating from Canada.
Willing to respond to folks outthere to nail these scammers.

Exactly I am also trapped by the same deal for $860.00 for the same camera. I have already reported this scam to Amazon.com and found they have redeemed my gift card the same day and purchased things worth of $847 leaving just 13$ in the account. I think we can share some more information between us and try to see how we can retrieve the money lost. -

Hi Narayan.
Amazon says they cannot disclose details of items purchased by that gift card holder per their privacy policy but they are happy to help and disclose these details if a law enforcement personnel will approach them for this data. They have recommended to report to local police station. I believe there is a different place to report internet crimes than a local police station.
It is not that hard to naildown these bastards if law enforcement tracks the delivery addresses and purchases made with these gift cards. Per amazon's policy, gift cards cannot be used to purchase another gift card. They have to purchase some goods from amazon. To be honest, amazon is an indirect beneficiary of this though they are not the scammers.

As you said Amazon is NOT a scammer and they are an indirect beneficiary!! but NOW I am not knowing which direction to proceed other than holding onto Amazon customer care. I don't know where to complain and make it legal. Were you able to take any sucessful steps? -
