  • Hello Rosanna,

I was looking @ that website too, and debating on wether or not I wanted to spend $99 dollars to join. The site does state the $99 dollar "Access" charge. So if it makes you feel better you were not scammed, you just needed to look a little closer at the details. Hope you get a good deal!

  • NO, your doing it wrong. i found out a way to make an account without paying $99. heres how. to make an account there are two steps, the first asks for you email, username, password Etc... then the second step is to fill in your credit card information. dont fill it out. just exit the page go to http://www.bidrack.com/ and start bidding.

  • They did the same to me, charged my account $99. I contacted MasterCard and got my account reimbursed. Bidrack said I approved it to but 175 bids when I first signed up, but it says FREE sign-up. They offered me 180 more free bids in compensation. I told them to shove it!
Thank you for the link. Are they located in Delaware?

  • The same thing happened to me yesterday. I thought I was registering for FREE because that was the what the headline said "FREE"! I wanted to look around the site and decide if it was worth pursuing as a source of low-priced merchandise. Then I came across a link that didn't work to download a free "how to guide" for the site. I started to get suspicious and decided to call their customer support line to ask about the tutorial. As I talked to the support person I became even more suspicious and asked about the use of my credit card. He said there would "only be the $99 charge" for the bids! I told him I was not aware that I had agreed to pay anything but he said it was absolutely non-refundable even though I had done nothing at the site. I asked to speak to a supervisor and surprise, surprise - none was available!! Someone did call me this morning (Holley no last name) with the same story - non-refundable! I have gone back and looked at the page and I see that the interface is intentionally deceptively designed so you miss the fact that you are ordering $99 worth of bids. Shameful. I have contacted my credit card company and opened a dispute. BidRack needs to be stopped from perpetrating this scam on others!

When I signed up, I saw the price point written 5 times .. Not sure how anyone can miss that...

  • I honestly believe knowing how to use this site is an art and best learned after some practice and experience ... it is true what they say --- 90% off retail prices, you just have to know what you are doing.

You may not win everything initially and I lost a little initially, but once I learnt the fundamental of this site, I have more than recovered my buck.

The FAQ section of this site is great too. There is no way this site seems like a scam to me. I clearly saw the price point of $99.00 disclosed (and I thought I was getting a good deal :) ....

  • I just want to add to my "scam" I will not get a refund, so I figured I would just go to the site and see if I can bid and make the money back. well, LOW AND BEHOLD, I didn't remember my password. So I clicked on where it says "forgot password".....says an email will be sent to me....its been 3 days now and still no email....ALL day long I have sent messages back and forth to get 11 times(thru [email protected]). I also, called 3 times and spoke to a person and they don't know how to tell me to change. There are NO supervisors to talk to. Each time, they send me a new password to get into the site. I went in the first time and know the scoop, you CHANGE the password they gave you. I can't CHANGE it as there's no place to change it. In the 11 requests on HOW to change my password, I finally received 2 emails stating:
I apologize for the inconvenience. Our password reset tool is not currently in service. If you would like to reply with what you would like your new password to be I will be more than happy to change it for you.
    Sarah, CS
ARE THEY KIDDING ME!!?? THEY will change it and still KNOW my password?? This is totally unacceptable to me!! My password should be for my eyes only!! I mean they can get in and do anything they want with the account!!!!
I can't wait until MONDAY so I can call the Better Business Bureau to register a complaint. I MEAN REALLY!!!

  • One more vote for Bidrack being a scam. I also thought the registration was free, and then found a $99 charge on my credit card. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, and will file a complaint with BBB and Attorney General too. I think Bidrack is intentionally being deceptive to fool as many people as they can.

  • Well, I am currently sitting here with credit card in hand contemplating on buying 165 bids with 50 free bids, which it clearly states free registration; however, you must buy bids to start bidding. Like Sam's, you can't shop there unless you have a Sam's card that you had to pay for... Anyhoo, it doesn't seem to be a scam, I can clearly see that I have to buy bids. So as I am wondering, is this for real, I google " Is bidrack a scam" because I am very careful using my credit card without having info on certain sites or atleast having a friends recommendation. As I read throught the different posts, it shocks me that people don't research before they use their credit card. Like I said, I am sitting here with credit card in hand contemplating should I do this... I see clearly that I have to buy bids before I start bidding. Just wanted to make that clear. Ohh, Does anyone know if shipping is included or will I have to pay for that in addition to what I bid on (If I win).

  • To Angel,
You said it like you have real experiences with websites like these on the internet, and there is a different between Sam and BidRack, at least Sam gives you the choices either if you want to pay for the membership or not, but BidRack doesn't. They charged you behind your back and when you find out, it is too late to get your refund back. So as I say, if BidRack is a trustworthy and professionally, they would give us (the consumers) the choices to purchase these bid packages at the very beginning instead of letting us go through the website and started taking the money without letting us know. Like I said, many websites sent you a confirmation email as soon as you registered or signed up with any particular website, but BidRack didn't. So tell me, is that really professional and nobody agreed to pay that $99 fee in front when they don't even know what they can get. I am just keeping it REAL that BidRack is a SCAM.

  • I just got scammed buy BidRack!!! The registration page is extremely busy and very deceptive. I too thought I was registering for a FREE signon. I thought I was entering my credit card number for LATER purchases. I called them immediately and the girl on the phone would only repeat that they have a strict no-refund policy. I insisted to talk to someone else. She said there was no one else I could talk to and that she was the highest person there. Total BS!!! She eventually hung up on me after my repeated attempts of asking for someone else. I called my credit card company and they said I have to wait until the charge posts to my account and then I can begin the dispute process. I went back to create another bogus signon to see if I got a different registration screen and I did! It was very a little more clear. However, the one that I navigated to somehow or another was designed to be confusing. Of course I can't get back to it now. Like Thanh said above, I too did NOT get a confirmation e-mail. Businesses that function like this are NO GOOD!!!! Stay away from them!

  • Follow-up to my previous post... I called my credit card company to start the billing dispute process. I sent an e-mail to the Attorney General's office in Delaware as suggested above. I will file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If my credit card company is unable to provide a refund, I will also contact the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection (as a PA resident). This BidRack "company" will know that complaints were filed. They must change their registration process. They must change their refund policy. Oh, and they won't be getting ANY business from me.

  • BidRack.com AKA Nomorerack Retail Group in Vancouver, BC You need to file with British Columbia also. I thought that the cc info was for later use also and was horrified to find that I had been charged $99. The site wouldn't let me register FOR FREE until I filled out the information. I read thru ALL of the terms and conditions listed before clicking YES I agree. That charge is not stated anywhere. The only contact I have had with them since I called their customer service was 3 emails. One to fill out the request. One to say I was denied and this is what the last one stated.
Our refund resolution department has reviewed your online application. We have found the following to be true:

    1. The original application were the terms and conditions were agreed to was filled out by ( )
    2. The same name was submitted in the refund request form.
    3. The credit card ending with the last 4 digits of () matches the one entered on file with the above referenced application.
    4. The credit card ending with the last 4 digits of () also matches the one provided on this refund request.
    5. The mailing address entered (, , ) matches the address on file with the above referenced application.
    6. The IP address used to join matches the IP address recorded on the refund request.
    7. The email address used ([email protected]) matches the email on file where the purchased was originated.

I may have agreed to the terms and conditions, I did not agree to the charge on my card! I will file this with BC's BBB, DE's BBB and UT's BBB. I will post it on Twitter, Facebook and any other venue to spread the word.

  • it said you would be charged for the bid pack cause you were in your accts shopping cart already... I agree THEY MAY HAVE MISLEAD YOU TO THINK THAT BUT IF YOU HAD LOOKED ON THE PAGE IT SHOWS YOU AR5E IN THE SHOPPING CART SECTION OF YOUR ACCOUNT ALREADY LOGGED ON.
THATS WHY IT SAYS ITS A 1 STEP PROCESS YOU DONT HAVE TO TAKE A 2ND STEP AND CONFIRM YOUR ACCT LIKE MOST PLACES DO. I HAVE TO SAY THAT WAS JUST A CLEVER MARKETING PLOY WHICH THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON OBVIOUSLY CAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY OF YOU THAT DIDN'T JUST READ WHERE IT SAYS YOUR IN YOUR ACCT IT NO LONGER SAYS LOGIN CAUSE YOU ALREADY ARE AND YOU WERE IN THE SHOPPING CART PAGE WHEN YOU CLICKED SUBMIT WHICH WAS CONFIRMING THEM CHARGING YOU JUST LIKE IT SAID ON THAT PAGE.

THE SAD THING IS THAT THEY WREREN'T EVEN SCAMMING ANYONE IT SAYS ON THE OLD CONFIRMATION PAGE JUST LIKE THE NEW ONE THAT YOUR ACCT IS READY JUST PURCHASE BIDS IF YOU WANT TO BID THEN HAD A BOX FOR CREDIT CARD INFO.

  • To Thanh,

I didn't write to get your opinion, I wrote to give MY EXPERIENCE!!! Sams doesn't give you a choice- you can buy their membership to get in their store to shop or if you don't, you can't get in! (unless you go in with a friend that has a membership. I don't know what anyone elses experience was; however, I clearly saw that I had to buy bids and that I was going to be charged. I'm very careful when it come to using my credit card, not because I've been scammed before, but because of my degree in computer science and I know how simple it is for hackers to get your credit card information. The internet is NOT a joke, people should think twice about using their credit cards on the internet and atleast do research on a company before they buy anything USING THEIR CREDIT CARD. I WOULD SUGGEST PEOPLE TO BUY A PREPAID CREDIT CARD SO YOU DON'T WAKE UP AND YOU ACCOUNT IS EMPTY OR CHARGED UP... I believe this sight is for people to voice their opinion not to argue and act child-ish. WHICH BY THE WAY, I HAVENT PURCHASED ANY BIDS YET.

When I call them they tell me that it was shipped but they cant provide me with a valid shipping number. I would say ok if it was one auction but right now we are talking 6 different items. I am mad because I want the items, but if they dont send them soon I am going to ask my bank to charge back my card.

Of note is the practice Bid Rack has of posting things on social media sites that use names of people who are either totally fictional or work for Bid Rack Inc. All of these mythical people are, naturally, claiming that Bidrack.com is as pure as the wind driven snow and that all detractors are either stupid, mean spirited, dead wrong, or (believe it or not) cowards. I do not mean to say that there couldn't be one or two benighted souls out there who are 'real' people but likely it is not. • To AARON and ANGEL....We are not morons. Bidrack has different webpages that you can sign up on. My page from the get go, would not let me register without the cc info. It did not state anywhere that I would be charged. I have looked and looked for that specific page and still cannot find it. I have found pages that you can register for free with a seperate link for cc info. I wish that had been the case with me. Having a choice and knowing is different than being duped. There are also many people who have not received merchandise as well. The fact that you cannot find a legitimate address, you cannot find an owner, you cannot talk to supervisors are good indications of a bad company. I am glad there are those of you who like Bidrack. I am not one. There having different webpages to enroll on is also not an indicator of a good company. If it's good for one, it should be good for all.

  • Okay, how many people have actually gotten their auction items? I see the people saying we are morons for not reading everything etc etc., but have you all GOTTEN YOUR AUCTION ITEMS! Besides the false advertisements, $99.00 hidden fees etc. - the biggest thing is non-receipt of what you paid for! Same problems- emails that don't even answer your questions (can tell scripted responses), constantly being told that it takes a while to get your items (usually when you order things online, they tell you if it is not in stock or a delay; they make it seem like they have the items but they don't because I certainly couldn't take that long to get one simple item), phone calls to them and I think I get the same woman every time. What are the chances of having the same customer service rep every time when according to this staff member "We have many, many customer service reps!" And yes, there are no supervisors. And, the woman gave me an wrong address when I wanted to send a letter via regular mail. Looks pretty fishy to me!

  • I just wanted to point out, I was also tricked by the website, and might I add I am NOT a moron! I was curious about the site and signed up for it, thinking that putting in the payment information was required for the registration since it did say FREE registration. There was NOWHERE on the screen that stated I was actually paying for the bid pack for $99. Nor did I ever recieve a conformation email or reciept. I even went as far as making another account to see if it made me do the same thing, but I was put on a completely different registration page! This one did not ask me for any credit card information whatsoever. I don't get angry often, but this set me off. I sent the website an email explaining that I did not want the bid package, asking if I could have a refund because I was charged for something I didn't know I was buying. They came back telling me that it was nonrefundable as stated in the terms and conditions. I then called them asking for a refund, and after a few minutes of the girl telling me the same thing over and over as the email (that there is no way!), she finally decided to tell me about the refund request I could fill out! She wasn't even going to tell me about it until I told her that I was a college student and can't spend this much on a bidding website! After I filled out the refund request form, it stated that I would have the result in 72 hours. I waited for four days and finally emailed them to ask about it and all they could tell me was that the status of my request was "in review". I finally got an answer after 5 days of waiting. They told me I couldn't get a refund, but that I would have 120 free bids added to what I already had. I checked the account, and the bids were there, but the next day they were gone! I hadn't even bid on one thing yet! I'm not going to use the word "scam" with this website, but I truly think that they trick you into spending money on their website that you don't mean to spend. This is the most unprofessional website I have ever been on.
