My Mother was in the hospital, when she was released she was on heavy medication. She started to think that she should remove her partner from all her bills. As she removed her partner, she called herself Rose (not her real first name). Atlantic City Electric ran with this change and charged her 350.00 security deposit. They indicated that she was a new client (Rose) and that she owed the old account and the new account with the security deposit.
As her daughter I attempted to call them, but of course they needed to speak to my Mother. My Mother will not give me power of attorney. But when Mom calls they told her they will not remove the security deposit.
Big Business hurting the Elderly!!!
