I received a letter from Aflac-payment Alliance International, Inc. today with a check in the amount of $3,950 in my name with a letter stating that i was a winner of the "UK & North America Customer Reward Promotion Draw" organized for all customers of Wal-mart, Sears, Home Depot, Safeway and ASDA for the for quarter of 2012. That I was entitled to a guaranteed sum of $50,000 if I cash this check and Western Union $1,950. First clue this was a scam is the postmark was from England or Royal Mail. Second was that I have never dealt with Aflac and thirdly they wanted me to send them money.

Having been scammed before I did not cash or deposit check and I will not be sending them any monies. BEWARE if you receive a check like this and you endorse it you are guaranteeing the bank that the funds are good. You will be charged for that $ if the bank cashes or deposits the $ into your account.
