Same story as with Sparrow Lending Services, 7% interest $6000.00 - send security deposit and you'll get your money in 6-8 hours. $1435.00 and 4 days later no emails, no loan funds, no-one answers the phone. When I reported it to my Insurance adjuster, she phoned the rep - who actually answered and assured my investigator that she had already processed a refund and had sent me an email advising what had happened. 6 hours later ... still no email. My adjuster/investigator actually believed she was sending a refund. A company we are filing a claim of Fraud against. I'm not sure who is more stupid me or my adjuster/investigator.
Update: 05/22/2012
Well past the time that I was told I would receive a refund. The phone number for Colvin & Colvin became "temporarily disconnected" this morning or sometime last night. Police reports filed locally and in Boston and Miami.
