I was phoned and told I had won a trip to Orlando plus a cruise to the Bahamas. I had entered a competition with this prize so didn't suspect anything. I paid the $990US as a 'tax requirement' by US government without which I was told the prize and confirmation couldn't be processed. Since then I have stopped my credit card. This is a very sophisticated scam with a very professional approach. At all times they cite credible companies such as Disney, Hilton Hotels, Radisson Hotels and international airlines such as Qantas, Air New Zealand and United as part of their bona fides. I have complained to the my bank and hope I can get some money back. they spend a lot of time checking MY credentials which is a clever way of diverting your attention from checking THEIR credentials. Be careful.
