Got a call from a wierd number on my cell phone. the number showed up as 924-44. The man on the line had a foreign accent. He starts by telling me I had filled out an online application for cash advance, and I had been approved for up to $1500. He asked me how much did I want? I gave him a lower amount. Talking fast, he begins to ask me to verify my information. And since its early Sunday morning and Im in the middle of a good lifetime movie, i begin to answer his questions giving him my ss#. Im not sure if the commercial break saved me or God intervened. But when he asked for my routing number and account number, I came to myself and asked him for the companies name and a contact number. He instantly became irritated with my questions and asked me if i wanted to continue or not. So I said yes, just give me your companies phone number, that is a small thing for you when I giving out so much sensitive information. He replied with, you will get all that information in an email when we get done. I kept asking for a phone number and this joker hung up on me. Things like this make me so angry. Honest, hard working people trying to provide for their families and genuinely in the need of some help get taken advantage of ALL the time. And I hate it. I wish something could be done about these scammers. So Im on a MISSION! To figure out what can be done to shut these FAKE companies down.
