On April 13 we received a notice from this company thanking us for renewing three magazines. One we never had taken and the other two had already been renewed and paid for on my credit card. I phoned them and said we had already renewed the first two and paid for them and the third we never had taken and did not want. I was assured that "it would be taken care of"

Within a few weeks we got our ATandT credit card bill for $399.98 and I immediately tried to contact them to tell them not to pay. It took four or five tries of talking to a computer first, and then being transferred to a Service Rep in the Phillipines and getting a dial tone when they tried to get the fraud division....and finally the last call, after my waiting for 1/2 hour while she tried. said she would fix it. Awhile later I get a computer phone call saying we owed $48 interest. This time i did get a young man in Manilla who got me to the fraud division and I have sent in my paperwork, and I hope this will be resolved. Meanwhile the computer is still calling!

The same thing happened 6 months ago and we got a letter from Magazine Network, and my husband wrote on that letter that he did not want to have any business dealings with them ever again,and we sent it back to them. I also phoned Magazine Network and told them we had not done business with them. And I phoned the credit card compnay and told them that this charge may come in and do not pay it. I failed to do that right away this time.

I would advise anyone getting a letter from Magazine Network, knowing that they never ordered magazines from them, to call that company and then contact their credit card immediately. The interest accumulates!
