I just got one of these calls and they said they had complaints from our area about delayed deliverly and damaaged magazines and they were just calling to see if I had any problems, they said, I "signed up" for something and was "made aware" of the cancellation period and "didn't" cancel the subscription. They claimed i had signed up for $1,200.00 worth of magazine to be paid thru 30 payments of $39.90. They said i signed up for 5 magazine for 5 years. when i asked where i signed up from they couldn't tell me. Saying i must have signed up for them from a online site or ordered something but they didn't know. They had my address, birth date, my first 4 numbers of my cc. they made themselves sound real, but could not back up when i signed up for it or anything. So far i have blocked all further transactions from them on my credit card which they had started to charge.
they gave me NO option to cancel the "deal" or speak to a "manager".they forced me to either give them my cc# at the moment, or end up paying the non-discounted price @ $69 a month for 30 months. I ended up giving out cc# & my information.

  • I got the same thing. I didn't have to give them my credit card number. They already had it. They must have gotten it somehow online, but they claimed I had to have given to them over the phone. Now I'm forced to pay $50 per month for 30 months. Any ideas out there?
