Rcvd a letter from Canada with a notification of an award of $175,000.00 in the UK and North American Shoppers Sweepstake drawn on 2/20/2012. Enclosed was a check for $3,780.00 drawn on the LaSalle Bank, N.A Chicago Il 60603. Was instructed to contact Monti Torres 289-242-7517 to pay a $1,990.00 nonresident tax. My bank verified that it was a fraud and that depositing the fraud check would result in my account being closed down when it was verified to be illegitimate.
