I was sent a postcard that asked for updated information for yellow pages. I thought I was updating my existing yellow page ad with my website and email address. I signed and faxed the information back to them, then received a bill for $1188.00 for listing in a business directory. When I called the customer service number I was told I could fax in a complaint and see what happened. I did and received another letter with a service charge of $25. I received a third reminder that if I did not pay the invoice Imy credit rating would suffer and debt collection agencies would be contacting me. I contacted the Michigan Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint. Today I received a letter the the Attorney Gerneral with an offer from Yellowpageusa to settle my account for $297. After reading all of the comments online I realize this is all a scam. I have learned a valuable lesson not to sign or trust anyone unless I really am sure what is going on.
