On 4/19/11 placed an order for the product "Stop It" (prevents slipping in tubs/showers, etc.) at their website using My VISA.
By the end of April it had not arrived. Called to find out why. Spoke to the only person who you ever get on the phone no matter if you dial the extension for " sales," "shipping, "billing", whatever and who claims to be the CEO/President of SlipCare ( I thought, "Great!, that means the buck stops with him and he will do something.") Asked why the delay in shipment. He said many customers are having trouble getting their orders because "the postmen do not want to take the parcals up to doors so they just take them back to the post office. " Told him I'd never had a problem getting packages before and I've got many, our mailbox holds a sticker inside that authorizes them to leave the parcel by the door if no one answers and that's always been no problem. Told him (his name is Thorsten Stein) that it was actually too late to use the product for what I had wanted it for ( a rental unit for an elderly couple that I wanted to make slip-proof in the shower but they had now moved in and this product is reported by AARP magazine to carry a harsh odor for some hours and since the renter is on oxygen I wanted to do it long before they moved in so as to not risk causing him respiratory problems .) Mr. Stein said, "No problem. If you want a refund, we will credit your VISA immediately. Two weeks later, no credit. Called again, Mr. Stein was surprised and said his "merchant services" must be having trouble processing my refund as they had never had a refund before, every one is always happy with their product but he would call them and get back to me by phone. Never called. Called him again. He said he would personally write me a check for the $41.40 I paid. Never did. In mid- July I emailed him a harsh note demanding my money back and threatening to contact AARP where I had seen his product advertised and the internet BBB and every other site where I could post bad comments about him and his company. A return email threatened to send my email to their lawyers if I bad-mouthed him anymore BUT they would be happy to send my mony back if I would just confirm my address. Of course, I immediately did (same old address where the product was originally supposed to be sent to) and WOW, can you believe I have yet to see that refund arrive. So this is just one of many places where I am going to bad-mouth this thief and his shoddy company.
