I recieved a text message from a number (949-439-5304). It said exactly " You've just won a 1000 DOLLAR GIFT VOUCHER for use at WALMART. You can access it now at www.wmart-awards.com (SAVE MONEY, LIVE BETTER) WM21658

I tried to access the link and it will not go to any link. I tried from the computer and find out that I am not the only one that recieved this message. I am VERY upset because when I went to Walmart a couple of months ago, they told me to go online and i could try to win the $1000.00. So I really thought that I had won, and I am very upset because I did follow the instructions from an actual WALMART employee and also followed the instructions when I went to the sight that was on an ACTUAL WALMART RECIEPT!!! Recieving this text message as a probable SCAM doesn't disclude WALMART from responsibility because they offered this on the back of a reciept I recieved from WALMART. So, therfore, I feel they have to do something to fix this "SCAM" we all recieved, as we were only doing what this sweepstakes or contest told us to do. Anybody out there think that WALMART should deal with this obvious mistake that started when you went into their store and bought, whatever you bought, and were told to go to this sight and you could win $1000.00? I think they should do something for everyperson that entered this contest and was mislead to begin with and then mislead more when they tried (AND I'M TALKING ABOUT WALMART RIGHT NOW) to get you to enroll in other things. I am very upset because I as all of you who entered this contest was completely mislead and it started because of a WALMART malfunction. I think they should follow through with this to everyone that recieved this personal (or so I thought) text. I also belived in it because it came through as a text which meant they had my PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER. This isn't like SPAM you report from e-mails all th time. They had my phone number and the only way WALMART got my number was because I entered their contest. Who disagrees with me? Did this come through on your PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER you gave while entering a contest from the back of a WALMART reciept? I fully intend to deal with CORPORATE about this, because even if it was a scam, WALMART released OUR phone numbers to SOMEONE, that ends in a scam. And I feel WALMART is responsible because our phone numbers shouldn't have been given to anybody.
