You all that made a phone and thought you were talking with the company you called, right? Well do you actually LISTEN on the phone? When one of the representitives picks up the phone, they say Hi thank you for calling ASSIST 123 this is (name) ... so its your dumb for thinking the whole time you're actually speaking with the company you were calling for when you were told for the start this is ASSIST 123. Also, before anyone answers the phone, you are told by a machine recorded voice that the number you dialed is disconnected... and it also says press this number because you're eligable for a $100. Shopping rebate. I don't feel sorry for any of you who signed up for the service and was charged. You need to listen, stop getting so excited about wanting to talk about what you were calling for and not paying attention to what is being said on the phone. Duh. Assist 123 doesn't "hijack" phone calls, you dialed the number incorrectly, the number was changed, or its out of service or have technical difficulties... so your call gets routed to Assist 123, so they can provide you with a service so you can get any phone number you need... the correct and working phone number. Its not a scam at all, everything is explained to you, they tell you what's being charged and sent out to you. And if you're not listening/paying attention don't get mad when you get charged and receive your package in the mail... you should have acted like an adult and paid attention to what's being said and going on. And they do transfer you over so you can speak with the company you were calling after you pay the $3.95. Use your brain
