I had the same experience but the name was Peter Williams. Said he was getting off the site that day due to the fact that I was the only one he had met that he liked. Said he would be retiring soon and could relocate anywhere in US. Pretty much same story as above but he was engineer working on getting a contract in Cambodia. He did ask for money and I told him if I heard from him again I would report him. Should have done it anyway. Be very careful. I did not give away much personal info., but I felt really stupid anyway. BE CAREFUL on these sites. Don't hesitate to report these fools. If it sounds too good to be true....well you know.

I am on the same dating sight, and a military soldier started up a chat with me, profile name military52. is going by the name of Jeffery Bruma, is a sargent, asked that i chat with him through yahoo messenger. his name heading on there is jeffery.......bruma.......Loves God... I am currently chatting with him, but i do know better than to let him scam me. He said he was from Virginia, also said he has a home in Texas and Florida, his son's name is ELVIS, and his close friend LUCAS is taking care of him In Ghana, he is a widow, wife died in a car accident, parents died in 2000, he is an only child and was adopted. Through our conversations he was already refering to Elvis as our son. right now it is a cat and mouse game, he is not going to scam me, i want to get his address and send him some monopoly money and a get out of jail free card. This guy needs to go down.

I met Sgt.Paul Graves via SinglesNet dating service. He claims to be 54 years old with an 11 year old son named Mike. He states "Mike" is being cared for by a friend of his Price Obiri in Ghana,Accura.Prince Obiri lives in the United States. He was contacting me through Yahoo Messenger with the email address of [email protected]. I checked the Military base in Afghanistan he claimed to be stationed at - no record of him was found as well as the US base of Fort Jackson in Libery, SC. He indicated he would be through with his tour of duty on October 3, 2012, had to fly to Ghanna, Accura to pick up his son& & was returning home to Queens,NY.He even went as far a placing two calls to me to say "Hi" because he wanted to hear my voice. I had the phone number checked as well, it to traces back to Ghana. Sgt.Paul Graves has a loud & clear profile of doing this for some time, the profile appears under "Scammers Alert". He made reference to his sons birthday being September,24 2012 & asked if I could send $500 to Prince Obriri so he could invite his classmates over for a birthday party. He indicated I could send the money Western Union to Prince Obiri, Ghana,Accura 00233. When I refused he became very persistant stating he just wanted the little guy to have a nice birthday. A fraud alert investigator indicated she has tracked him before & that "Military Romance Scams"are running rampid. This is a highly specialized network in Ghana & the investigator indicates they cover their tracks extremely well. Be careful out there ladies. I hope this protects & helps someone else from SGT. Paul Graves.

Thank you so much for posting this - I have had a similar experience with the same website. In my case, I signed up for discounted membership that was to last 3 months. Instead, I was charged $60 more than the amount I agreed to. Before I even noticed they had done this, I cancelled my membership online, having tried it out for a couple months and didn't like it after all. So now, my membership status according to them is "Paid/Cancelled". I apparently have 55 days to renew my membership; and until then I am not allowed access to the site, not even to obtain contact information. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! ...and thank you for this post. Have you tried speaking to customer service at AmEx? Visa is trying to help me out with this; I would think that AmEx will at least be able to prevent further payments from being deducted from your account. Take care.

All these dating websites are nothing but scams...you meet someone who you think is one of the greatest , you fall in love with this person and find out they are not who they say they are, this happened to me.....on senior people meet I was unfrtunate enough to send this person money ...
