  • I set up the traffic package to deliver the 5000 visitors within 1 month. As you can see in the screenshot I provided, the stats from your website says I have received 5000 visitors, whereas Google Analytics says I have received only 1525 unique visitors. Furthermore, it was never mentioned anywhere in the application process that the visitors would only be from non-US locations, which could affect the website's profitability. These are cause for refund themselves.

    And then you print it clearly on your application form that you have a 30 day money back guarantee and do not show anything to indicate that this excludes the additional services that you push so hard to the customer to buy - I think you are trying to deceive people and make a hefty profit even if they cancel and request a refund of the basic web hosting service.

    Looks like deception is how you run your business.

  • Hello, I apologize for any misunderstanding or communication with our policies and procedures. First, please let me clarify how traffic packages work. We do indeed send your specified amount of visitors to your site, however, this is not done all at once, this will span over a set amount of time depending on the length of your package. Since yours was for 5000 visitors it may have taken about 2 months or a little longer to reach this number(depending on how you set up your package).

    In regards to our refund policy for any upgrades or traffic packages this is clearly stated in our Terms of Service that requires your agreement before signing up for any of our services.

  • OK everyone I have to tell you what happened. After submitting this complaint I was contacted by brainhost customer support. They were very friendly and helpful with my problem. They fixed my problem and credited my account. I am very pleased with their attitude towards this matter. www.infoformyauto.com has been working great and I now would highly recommend brainhost because I now know they take care of the customers and their concerns.

  • You know what Eric, I know it's your job to keep this little operation of yours going by following all the complaints and then commenting on them by acting like you give a crap and then offering people solutions that don't exsist! Hence the website http://www.brainhost.com/help that you listed which won't even load when I type it in. So why waste my time calling a number where no one will answer? You people are disgusting! I have already got my money back and have contacted local and out of state authorities about this situation. You can keep my hard earned money and I hope you go to the grave with it.

  • You're lucky. I just signed up today. I fell for it hook line and sinker and after being out upwards of $200, (which I know I'll never see again), I've been reading thru tons of information and it is a big freaking scam. They say you don't have to sell anything but all it is is they charge you out the butt for this and that and they are just teaching you how to use google adwords to promote your site and your product. Well, crap, I was under the impression I didn't have to sell anything, I don't have a freaking product! But since, I know I won't see the money anyway, (I've been thru something similar and because I authorized the charges my bank can't get it back and I know from your post that they won't refund it) I'm going to go thru with it and just see what happens. Wish I had used my head, none of the links on the page where it was "advertised" were clickable. It all led to the same place. Some one needs to get the word out on this before he keeps ripping people off. He's got to be a freaking millionaire by now. Class action law suit sounds good to me if we knew who was really behind it. And the funny thing is, you can google the man's name who supposedly backs it and not find a thing. Coincidence? I doubt it. He's probably got deals with the people who are supposed to do such a fantastic job designing the web site for you, the web hosting people AND google. Stupid stupid stupid!!! I'll know better next time.

  • Yes, as per ICANN law, you retain ownership of your domain for one year. This is why we cannot refund the domain registration fee. Even though you canceled your hosting and took down your website, you still own the domain name, we can't take it back. You are free to continue to use the domain name, sell it, etc.

    I meant to do this before. I did call your company the next day,I talk to csr,by the name of Mary-Jo,she told me every would be taken care,my my money would be refund with in 3-5 days which it were.($135.00) Whatever the problem your company has with the softwear they should get it fix,
    1)I never click on the last page(to confirm.) Most other company's
    if you don't click that you don't get charge. 2)Iam almost certain that when I click on the dropdown(99pct sure) menu I click on the 6month package. You can tell most of the complains are from overcharges,that should tell you something might be wrong with your softwear. Because of happen with me,am not sold on your company. I will see how it goes the next 6months.
