  • I saw lots of sites attacking ziinga, actually one of my friends had tried ziinga and never asked what happened next.

  • Honestly who bothers to read all that (Inappropriate Content Removed) Ziinga has terms and conditions only to their favor! Who knows they probably even change all that stuff and what's on it when no one's looking! These (Inappropriate Content Removed)have lawyers who let them get away with everything like carding the hell out of you for all the quids you got. They won't stop even if you call the Ziinga hotline! Its a credit card scam through and through!!! Look at the conversations here http://www.ziingareal.com/

  • At first I didn’t like Ziinga, I also tried to cancel my membership in the first month, but because I didn't want to pay cancellation fee I continued with the 3-month membership plan and after the 3rd month I cancelled without any fees. I thought if I only read the terms and conditions before placing all my personal infos, I could have not been a "victim". But honestly, I didn't regret continuing my membership for 3 months because it came with a ton of goodies and daily free stuff which I used to bid continuously, and luckly I won. Now that I already cancelled my membership after 3 months, I can still use the site as a non-member but I buy bid packs individually. This is the most practical way to deal with Ziinga. I can imagine how many frustrated people are there about penny auctions and not just Ziinga, but the key here is to take the time to learn how it works before diving in to the game. This scenario can even happen to you online with any product or service-based website.

  • I also received the text message, went online and signed up. didn't get redirected as promised, phoned the number to ask questions and was told that the text messages are not sent by them and that they are investigating the complaint. I mentioned that the front end of their web site also indicated a free iPad. No comment. I asked to speak to the investigator and was told they can't give out that information. I asked to speak to the PR department and was hung up on. Same thing happened when I tried it using the chat feature. this must be a scam.

  • I also have been caught up in some sort of scam because I have a total of $105.12 and I didn't not order anything and nobody had access to my phone and now they want me to pay $55.00 to cancel something I did not due. Aparently I bought a phone and now they are saying I won't get the phone until I sent them my account information saying it was paid so they can send it to me....OMG so angry...

  • Absolutely!! I'll be watching that alright.
    Each day there's a new post on Scambook from others around the world who have just been scammed.
    The one thing that got me which I didn't mention before is their paying method - it looks legit so it will be interesting to see what Fair Go find out about that too...

  • here's great news ladies - Fair Go is featuring Ziinga tomorrow night! 7:30pm on TVONE. I for one will be glued to it! I am pretty convinced that I will not be chased by debt collectors. There are just too many people who are in the same situation as ourselves for them to ever bother following up on fairly small amounts. Rest easy I say. I lost $13 and that's all.

  • You are certainly not alone. I thought I was alone in NZ as a lot of complaints are from either the UK, South Africa and countries where they are the Euro. A few from the USA as well.
    I'm not sure if Fair Go would take it, maybe if enough of us put our stories forward they might? Afterall we were all duped into it..
    The other thing I noticed is that on their emails they say "legally binding contract" - but under what law? international? I want to do some more research into it in case I've missed something.

  • Wow, thanks for all that info. I am SO pleased i am not alone. I have got as far as reporting to Commerce Commission but have not heard back yet. My husband says to ignor it but my head cant!! I too want to get rid of the emails that keep coming into my junk mailbox. I have said to Ziinga that everything is in the hands of the Commerce Commission in NZ so will wait and see what they say.
