  • October 21, 2011 Two girls came to my door all excited about raising money to go to Europe or someplace I forget where exactly selling magazines or childrens books...I after feeling really pressured bought a years subscription to People magazine for $49.99 they really wanted all cash but I only had $30.00 cash so I did write a check for the difference. My check has cleared and I am still IMPATIENTLY waiting for my magazine to arrive in the mail! No magazine money is gone and I got scammed by these two girls! I feel like a sucker and am very frustrated what am I supposed to do now!? [email protected] Please help!

  • this is a scam website. There are a lot of victims who fell for this. I tracing the address of the web site , I found that it has PO.box for an address(first warning sign), was created last year, (2nd warning sing) , no Email address:

  • That same woman scammed me, same story about being cold and being able to have it as a tax write off... i have a son who is a year and a half and a baby on the way.. im sorry you got scammed... thankfully you only lost 69 bucks. We lost 286 :( but i have a phone number she called off my cell so im going to track it and find out who they are and take them to court.

  • Thanks for the heads up! It really helps to read posts like yours because it keeps me updated on what's happening.

    Do you have their names? Company they represented? Their phone number? Can you share it? I've gotten calls for a magazine subscription before. I got a phone number and reported it to the telephone scams watchdog site http://www.callercenter.com and guess what? 8 more others also reported it. I suggest you post a complaint on the site, too.

    I'm in the same boat. Try contacting them at this email address. [email protected] Attention Tom Parks
    They said all correspondenses have to be via email as they will not give out a phone number. I ordered my books on 10/29/2011 and the kid promised me I would have them by 11/28/2011 as this is when I needed the books for a 2 year olds birthday. They cashed my check on 11/10/2011. Today is 11/30 and no books. This Tom guy said allow 120 days for your product as it states it right on the receipt that was given. Of course, I didn't read the small print as the young kid ASSURED me I would have within 1 month. I will NEVER again buy from anyone door to door. They ruined it for everyone. I also filed with scambook. Good luck to you and all the others that have been ripped off!
