  • Uh,oh... Wish I had seen this site before I got involved with E-cigs. However, I did get my "starter kit" on time and in good working order. I'll have to have my bank keep a close eye on my accounts. I'm purposely keeping my account balance low so it can't be "over-charged" for the $29.99 for the next delivery of "Filters" that I was required to buy in exchange for the low starter kit price. Thanks for the heads-up!

  • Please read about my experience on this site. $4.95 is a great price for what you get initially. As long as you cancel the "membership" as directed, you pay nothing more. THAT's a "steal" - it's only a scam to those who don't read terms & conditions carefully.
(A competing company told me THEY would charge $57.49 + tax in this circumstance, unless the starter kit was returned.)

  • I emailed a version of my complaint to the ecigs company the same night I filed the above. Two days later, I had received no response, so I phoned my credit card company to request help. They contacted the ecigs people immediately and connected me with a representative on the phone. He reminded me that I had also (accidentally) ordered 20 cartridges that night, then phoned them to explain I only intended to order 10. The $59.98 charge is the initial order (for 20 cartridges). A refund for 1/2 of that was posted, but not until 19 days later - the day after my latest card billing period had ended. Therefore , I have NOT truly been charged more than I agreed to. (Items received are high quality.)

  • Exact same thing happened to me. But before I realized the charge, I called up abt receiving "mentols" b/c I crave the menthol rather than the nicotine. When I never rec'd, it was by-chance I noticed the $99.95 plus $9.95 chgs. I notified my bank & got chgs removed.

PLZ - if you recv unexpected/unknown chgs from anywhere/anyone - CONTACT YOUR BANK/CHARGE CARD!

  • I just spoke to 2 people. UI told them I did not order the refills. They said I was going to be charged $99.95. I told them I was not. I argued(?) with them the both for about 20 mintues each. I finally said very loudly, that I did not join a membership of any kind. That I would pay for the order I just got that I didn't order, but after that, I had better not find anything else on my card. Cancel me now or I will go to the News Stations. And I will too. They said the will cancel my account. I just pray that they do.

  • Then you should have read the small print. Do you really think these companies are giving away a $80 kit for free.....Please! You should have read the small print. This is not a scam its just it preys on stupid people that dont read the full offer. If you had phoned them and cancelled your order you would never have been charged, I do agree that the company needs to indicate the fact that this deal is based on a monthly subscription but the onus is on you the customer to read the small print before buying. Read the small print before buying anything from a site that says something is free because they have to make money somewhere. You have learned you lesson i presume, and as long as you have learned from it it wasnt a mistake, it was kinda stupid but it wasnt a mistake.

  • No but it clearly syates in the small print when you enter your details that you will be charged on s monthly basis unless you cancel. Why do people keep refering to these as scams- surely by now ppl realize nothing in life is free the company has to make money and yes the way they go about it is wrong and they do not make it clear enough that you will be charged on a monthly basis but that aside - YOU SHOULD READ THE SMALL PRINT BEFORE BUYING ANY PRODUCT. I have had a genuinely nice experience with e-cigs and they cancelled when i phoned and when i ordered more i told them it was a one off purchase and that i would phone again when i required more, they were fine with this and i still buy from now. Their products are descent quality and i have not had any issues.
